Oreo cheesecake.
Today is a little different than the previous recipes, today
we will go in the world of desserts right to cheesecake avenue. But what
happens when you mix cheesecake with Oreo? You get Oreo cheesecake. It is so
simple and easy to make, you wont even feel that you hardly ever did any work.
Oreo cheesecake.
Things you need:
2 packs of family size Oreos.
1 pack of mini Oreos.
2 and half packs of soften Philadelphia cream cheese.
2 eggs.
1/2 cup of either sour cream or yogurt.
Zest of 2 lemons.
Juice of half a lemon.
1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.
2 cups of butter.
1 1/4 cup of regular sugar.
Execute:
First pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.
In a food processor put 2 and half rows of 1 Oreo pack, keep
the cookies whole and do not remove the white cream in the middle. Turn the cookies
to dust, pour them in a bowl and add the melted butter and mix well until you
get a mixture that is similar to wet sand. Pour the mixture into a false bottom
9” baking pan. And bake the base for 15 minutes.
Now in a separate bowl break up some of the remaining Oreos
because those Oreos are going in with the liquid mix, so you’ll have bits of
cookie with each bite.
In an electric mixer add cream cheese and cream it, add the
sour cream or yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, vanilla extract, sugar, and
blitz until everything comes together, add one egg at a time with mixing each
time.
Add the Oreo broken cookies to the liquid mixture and add it
on top of Oreo base.
Bake the cake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes poke the
cake with a knife or a wooden stick to check if it’s cooked in the middle or
not.
Take out from the oven let it rest for 30 minutes and with a
butter knife run it along the round of the cake, let it cool for another 30
minutes and remove the round ring of the cake.
To garnish spread the cake with a thin layer of marshmallow fluff
put some of the mini Oreos around the cake and break some more of the cookies
and garnish the cake. Set it in the fridge for another 5 hours to completely
cool down. Enjoy the cake.
